CSA or Community Supported Agriculture is a pre-paid box or share program where the Farmer sells a share prior to the growing season. The farmer then is able to use that money to purchase seeds and supplies ahead of the season, saving on costs. The farmer is also able to plan how much of each crop will be planted and how many plantings based on the number of shares. The farmer then is able to pass that savings on to the CSA member.
Fair Weather Growers offers 2 CSA programs: a Summer and Fall CSA.
SUMMER CSA is a 16 week program that starts in June and runs until September. We offer 3 sizes of share: Full (Family of 4), Half (Family of 2) or Quarter (Family of two and pick-up is every other week).
Pick-up days are Sunday, Tuesday or Thursday. You select your pick-up day for the entire season. Every Friday our newsletter will be posted on our Facebook page and website. This includes what will be in your box the following week, recipes and information on that week’s items. Our contracts come out August as pre-sale discount until we close in December. (Purchase the following Spring is not encouraged and is more expensive).
FALL CSA is an 8-week program that starts in September/October and runs until Thanksgiving. We only offer one side share which is half (Equal to the Summer CSA half share). Pick-up days are Tuesday and Wednesday (you do not need to select a pick up date for the Fall). These contracts will be available in July.
